For Our Elders & Parents
To Every Parent Reading This
We know you did not come to this page looking for a sales pitch. You came because your son or daughter mentioned something about a training program, and before you said yes or no, you needed to understand exactly what you would be agreeing to. You needed to know whether this is serious, whether it is safe, whether it is worth it, and whether the people behind it can actually be trusted with your child's future. We respect that. Completely. At Tovra Works, we were built by people from Nagaland, for Nagaland. We understand that in our community, a parent's blessing is not a formality. It is the foundation. No young person from our hills makes a life decision of this size without their family, and we would not want them to. So this page is for you. Take your time with it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Honest answers for every concern you may have.
Is this really a good career?
We want to answer this honestly, because we know what some families think when they hear “hotel training.”
They think service jobs. They think low status. They think their child studied hard for twelve years to end up carrying someone else’s luggage.
That is not what we do, and that is not the career your child is stepping into.
Tovra Works trains professional chefs and hospitality specialists for India’s luxury hotel industry. The people who run five-star kitchens, who lead pastry and bakery operations in premium properties, who build careers that take them across India and eventually abroad, these are skilled professionals. They are in short supply. They are well paid. And they are treated with the respect that expertise commands.
India’s hospitality sector is one of the fastest-growing industries in the country. There are significantly more quality positions available than trained professionals to fill them. That structural gap is why our graduates do not struggle to find employment. The industry comes looking for them.
Your child will graduate with a nationally recognized THSC certification, six months of real paid work experience inside a professional training kitchen, and access to a placement network that has successfully placed over 500 candidates across mainland India through our training partner AVS.
Starting salaries range from ₹18,000 to ₹28,000 per month. That is a real income, from day one of employment, with a clear path forward.
This is a profession. It has dignity, stability, and a future
But they will be so far from home?
We mean that sincerely. We believe that every young person from Nagaland carries gifts that are meant to be used, that the drive to build something, to create, to serve with skill and with pride, is not an accident. It is purpose.
We also believe that opportunity does not always arrive loudly. Sometimes it arrives as a quiet possibility that a family almost overlooks because it came wrapped in unfamiliarity.
If your son or daughter has been asking about this program, something in them is already leaning forward. We ask only that you give that instinct a fair hearing before you decide.
We are available to answer any question you have, as many times as you need to ask it. No pressure. No rush. Just an honest conversation.

We cannot afford the fees?
We want to be completely straightforward with you here.
The course fee is ₹1,00,000. We are not going to pretend that is a small number for most families in Nagaland. It is not.
But we built Tovra Works with this reality in mind. We made sure that no deserving young person would have to turn away because of money.
Through our collaboration with IDAN and NSEDM, and through the Government of India’s Vidya Lakshmi Portal, your child is eligible for a government-backed skill loan that covers the full course fee. There is no collateral required. There is no financial burden on your family upfront. Repayment begins only after your child is employed, and comes from their salary, not from your pocket.
The government created this loan specifically so that a family’s financial position would never be the ceiling on a young person’s potential.
We exist to make sure families in Nagaland know this door is open, and we walk with your child through it.
How do we know this is genuine?
We are accountable to this community, not to investors or distant stakeholders.
Tovra Works operates in Kohima, in partnership with institutions that answer to the public:
IDAN (The Investment & Development Authority of Nagaland), NSEDM (Nagaland Skill, Entrepreneurship and Development Mission) Atithi Vriksha Shiksha (AVS), a THSC-certified training body with 500+ placements across India
Our certifications are issued through THSC, the Tourism and Hospitality Skill Council, a Government of India body under the National Skill Development Corporation. This is a credential that every reputable employer in India’s hospitality industry recognizes and values. We also keep our batches intentionally small. Because we are not trying to process as many candidates as possible. We are investing in each one.
"We need to pray about this."
We deeply respect the spiritual journey of every family. Deciding a child's path is a matter of prayer and wisdom. We encourage you to take your time, seek counsel, and only move forward when you feel peace in your heart. We are here to answer any question your pastor or community elders might have.
