What candidates ask us most
Do I need a family member with assets to act as guarantor?
Not necessarily. IDAN is available to act as guarantor for eligible candidates under this program. The collaboration between Tovra Works, IDAN, and NSEDM exists specifically to remove this barrier for Nagaland’s youth. However, the Vidya Lakshmi portal does require a co-applicant in order to apply.
What is the Vidya Lakshmi Portal and is it safe?
The Vidya Lakshmi Portal is the Government of India’s official centralized platform for skill and education loan applications. It is government-operated, secure, and the only channel through which skill loans of this type are applied for. Tovra Works will help you apply for the skill loan.
When does repayment start?
Repayment begins after a year, which basically means after you have been placed and are earning a salary. You are not expected to repay during training or during the internship period. The structure of the loan is designed to align with your income timeline.
What if I do not get placed?
The Global Culinary Fellowship includes placement support as part of the program. 95% of our candidates receive a job offer within the first month after finishing their internship. However, specific repayment terms in exceptional circumstances are governed by the lending institution’s policies, which will be clearly communicated to you during the loan application process.
I am applying for the hospitality program. Can I get the loan?
Possibly. The skill loan may be available depending on your individual profile and the course’s classification under the portal’s eligibility criteria. Contact us before applying and we will check your eligibility with you.
